Seriously though, make sure you check yourself for ticks if you're outdoors for activities. I just pulled one off myself at work. You've gotta make sure you catch them early because I've had Lyme disease before and it sucks.
Also, searching "tick" was an awful idea to do because I can feel imaginary ticks crawling all over me and it's now 100x worse that I've see the Google image search results.

Last year, my wife was sitting on my lap. When she got up, her shirt moved up a little, and I saw something on her lower back. Growing up in the country, and dealing with ticks a lot, I knew what it was when I called her back to me so I could take a look. Needless to say, she about lost it. I got tweezers and pulled it off of her. It had not buried its head into the skin yet. After checking it out a little to make sure what kind it was, I lit the little bastard on fire and watched him burn.
She still has a little "bite" mark from where it was.

And yeah, now I'm itchy and feel like I have things all over me. Thanks.

I grew up not too far from Lyme, CT, and had the bejesus scared out of me a few times with Lyme disease. One time I had to pull an engorged tick off my nut sack. Listen to the man, check yo self before you wreck yo self

That is very cringe worthy sir.
I'm going to my room. If anyone asks, I'm checking for ticks. Pay no attention to the porn.

When I spread the gospel about vasectomies, I flashback to mine from time to time. It makes me cringe a little. Now I will have "at least I did not find an engorged tick on my nuts once" to fall back on.

I hike pretty much every weekend, and always douse myself in tick repellent before hitting the trails. It does a pretty good job, but I still do a thorough tick search when I get home, and scrub myself down with a washcloth in the shower just to be safe. I've found one tick so far this season, but last summer I found four.
My doctor's told me that as long as you get the whole tick off of you within 24 hours, your chances of contracting Lyme are close to zero.

yeah, I have had the snip myself. Way to be. My days of repopulating the earth are long gone. Besides I like raw dogging the ladies (and getting tested monthly)

I haven't had any in a while but back when I was in boy scouts it was all the time.

A few years ago my friend Dustin and I had taken my Audi A4, that I had just bought a few months prior, to Shades of Death Rd. near Hackettstown, NJ. Living only 40 minutes away from Shades it was always neat to go there at night and drive around looking for ghosts, but this was a daytime trip. Being right next to Jenny Jump State Forest we had gone up to do some hiking around the area. After a few hours in the woods we decided to head back and had only gotten about ten minutes down the road before I felt something crawling down my arm. I looked down to see not one, but two ticks on my arm, and that's when I realized they were all over my legs as well, noting this with a manly scream. Hearing that, Dustin also became aware that the little bloodsuckers were indeed all over him as well. Nothing I've ever experienced compared to that moment of sheer terror as I kicked it down a gear, put the pedal to the floor, and rocketed the 1.8t motor into the nearest parking lot I could find. That happened to be a bar parking lot, and I'm sure the guests were thrilled to see two teenagers in a bright red Audi come flying into their lot, slam on the brakes, and jump out of the car while simultaneously stripping off all of their clothing.
It remains one of the scariest run-ins I've ever had with ticks.

I suggest it to every married guy I know that thinks they no longer want kids (with their wife's consent of course, not trying to cause any divorces). So much better than having to worry about pulling out or condoms.
And I have to say, it was the scariest thing I have ever been through, It didn't hurt, it was just really scary for me. I broke out in a cold sweat while I was getting snipped. My wife was there, and she said I looked horrible the whole time. LOL

And there's no shame in it.
Also, high five for Team A4

I actually got mine done on the sly. I had 2 beautiful kids and knew I was done. My now ex refused to let me do it on the grounds that I couldnt have more kids if the all died. I said now why would I want more if that happened. We broke up for other reasons but now I am not a breeder it is a very nice quality for a single man as well.
Mine was just weird. Felt all kinds of weird tugging, and the doctor was talking to me about golf (which I dont play) the whole time. Then I got the swelling for a bit, then all back to normal

We wanted more, but my wife has issues, and could not seem to carry a child for more than about 9 weeks. Our 2nd daughter was a freaking miracle. Lost two before her, and two after her. My wife and I were both done with the roller coaster of emotions and procedures my wife had to go through after the loss of the baby, so I bit the bullet and did it.
Best idea ever. Plus after it was done, it was nice to sit around for 2 or 3 days and be waited on. HAHAHA!

It's Team Volvo now. I only ended up having the A4 for a few months before a 90 year-old in an Elantra decided to turn into my lane on the highway while I was right next to him. A shame too as I had just gotten everything on it fixed only a month before.

oh man sorry to hear. I have a slew of people I know dealing with those same issues right now. My ex was somewhat older than me, and we had our first daughter at 36 and second at 39. It was scary but we made it through. 2 is good! perfect actually

Thanks. And I am happy with my two girls. Just wish we could have had a boy. But even the ones that we lost were all "girls". As my wife says, I shoot pink.

meh who need boys anyways
It runs in my ex's family to have girls. Much to the chagrin of her dad. We werent even out of the delivery room the second time when he asked us if we were going to try again. I almost knocked him out

I think the sex determination comes from the father though, so it was all you!
And I was just telling my two girls last night, once they get older, one of them better give me a grandson!
Like I said, I love my girls. And they are rough and tumble, love to hang out in the garage with me, ask about cars, but still are dainty little dress up girls when they want to be. But something about the idea of son just makes me wish I had one. Oh well, no sense in agonizing over it. I will just enjoy the time I have with my kids before they grow older.

all you can do. Once upon a time I lost a kiddo myself fairly deep in, and it was a boy. Boys are another animal though. Here is one of my best friends recent boy dealings about her kid. He is awesome

And I agree, from what I can tell, boys are a whole different animal than little girls.
